This cuvée is the result of a collaboration with Nicolas ROUX, organic winegrower in Mourens.
Orange wine, because that’s what we’re dealing with here, is the original wine, the one that was made before the start of the oenological era. What a pleasure it is to harvest these grapes, cellar them and let nature do its work...
This UFO does not fit into any particular box, it does not meet AOC criteria, and it is therefore a Vin de France.
Nicolas Roux has gone organic for a long time, a conviction which is both rooted in his heart and which he feels in his guts...
The grapes accumulate the minerals from the area, and their juices have a crazy energy!
As with our other cuvées, human intervention is kept to a minimum!
Our philosophy : no technology, and no recipes.
Unusually for an orange wine, this is a 100% Sauvignon blanc from a clay and limestone terroir.
Four weeks of maceration, with no added yeast or sulphur, before slow lees ageing for a few months.
We don’t add any chemical inputs, sulphur, or yeasts. We don’t carry out any disturbing interventions, fining or filtration before bottling.
Soaking your lips in an orange wine is an experience in itself!
A delicate, fruity mandarin bitterness will surprise you.
The label claims 12% alcohol, but Bazooka rocks, with fruit, fruit and more fruit.
Its slight cloudiness does not disturb the tast, but is a signe of its natural elaboration, in the absence of filtration.
